There are two macro-economic events taking place—the intergenerational
transfer of wealth from those who have created it to those who
are consuming it and the retirement of the “Baby Boom” generation.
These phenomena have inspired litigation against financial intermediaries,
primarily by banks and insurance companies, alleging breach
of fiduciary duties. The session is designed to acquaint the attendee
with what is happening in the courtroom and how to take preventive
measures to ameliorate the twin risks.
