As more Americans approach retirement, the regulation of ERISA covered
retirement and other plans continue to grow more complex. This session
will update developing legal issues and discuss new regulatory
requirements for the operation and administration of plans, including
new guidance relating to the disclosure of plan fees and expenses
by service providers, the timing for deposit of participant
contributions, and providing investment advice and other information to
participants in participant directed plans;
developments in ERISA plan litigation, including responsibilities
of 401(k) service providers and directed trustees; and
developing issues for custodians and trustees of individual
retirement accounts.
