Climate change exposure requires banks to develop and enhance existing risk taxonomies to understand how to quantify the risks related to climate change. In this session, we will discuss the identification and creation of key risk metrics, scenario analyses, and the incorporation of climate change risk into effective risk monitoring, mitigation, and oversight. We will also touch upon the difference between physical risks and transitions risks, potential disclosure requirements, and the high level supervisory guidance that has been published by US regulators. Finally, we will discuss fiduciary risks and considerations for our firms and clients when it comes to climate change.
