CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS


FIRMA has a rich history in its ties and recognition with national certification programs. FIRMA began in 1985 as the CTA Association and was linked directly with the Certified Trust Auditor certification program. In 1987, the association took the title NATA - National Association of Trust Auditors. In 1990, with the introduction of the Certified Trust Compliance Professional certification, NATA changed its name to the National Association of Trust Audit and Compliance Professionals - NATACP.

Today, FIRMA has over 500 certified members who are affiliated with over 25 different certification programs. While FIRMA does not grant certifications, we are proud to be associated with so many outstanding professionals who have been certified by nationally recognized certification programs and sponsors. Most FIRMA-sponsored training seminars and conferences are approved for qualifying CPE credits.

FIRMA recognizes most certifications to qualify for FIRMA Certified Member status. Please be sure to indicate the appropriate granting association name and address for the certification you indicate on the membership application.
